    Request a Ballot by Mail

To print off a Ballot By Mail Application in English or Ballot by Mail Application in Spanish click in the hyperlinks. Please read all the instructions to make sure you will qualify for a Ballot by Mail.

If you are requesting a Ballot by Mail because you will be out of town, you must be out of town during the full early voting time period and on Election Day. The ballot must also be mailed to an address outside of Roberts County.

If you are 65 or older or disabled, you can qualify for an Annual Ballot by Mail.  An Annual request must be filed every year after January 1st.

    Voters Photo ID is Required

Voters will be required to show one of the following forms of photo identification at the polling location before the voter will be permitted to cast a vote:

•Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)

•Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS

•Texas personal identification card issued by DPS

•Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS

•United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph

•United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph

    •United States passport

With the exception of the U.S. citizenship certificate, the identification must be current or have expired no more than 60 days before presenting it at a polling place.

This photo ID requirement is for voters casting a ballot in person and not by mail. Voters age 65 and older may vote in by mail.

Election officials encourage voters to update their voter registrations to reflect the names on their IDs prior to voting. Voters can look up and update their registration at www.votetexas.gov.

For more information about photo ID requirements including exemptions visit www.votetexas.gov

Information on how to obtain an election identification certificate (if you do not have another form of acceptable ID) can be found at www.dps.texas.gov.

    Voters with Special Needs

Curbside voting is available for persons unable to enter the polling place.  Look for the handicap accessible parking sign at the entrance.  Please contact the Early Voting Clerk for assistance by calling 806-868-2341, and we will alert the judge for you.

All polling places used by Roberts County Elections are handicap accessible. Each polling location also has available magnifying sheets and audio equipment that reads the ballots and tactile buttons for visually impaired voters. All have wheelchair accessible voting machines.

Additionally, persons unable to read or write may bring an assistant of their choice to help with the voting process. Only the voter's union representative and employer are ineligible to assist. Election workers are also available upon request to assist.

Voters with disabilities 18 and older, those 65 years of age and older, and voters who expect to be out of the county during both the early voting period and election day may request a ballot be mailed to them or download and print the application now. Applications for a Ballot by Mail are also available from the Roberts County Clerk’s Office.
